Leona Prince is a Dakelh woman from Nak’azdli Whut'en and is a member of the Lake Babine Nation. She belongs to the Lhts’umusyoo (Beaver) Clan and is the mother of three amazing children. She is an educator and best-selling author who received an Indspire Award for Educational Leadership. Her second children’s book, Be a Good Ancestor, was nominated for the Blue Spruce Award and was shortlisted for the Ruth and Sylvia Schwartz Children’s Book Award. Leona writes to celebrate and uplift her community. Paige Pettibon is an illustrator and artist of Black, White, and Bitterroot Salish ancestry. She was raised on Coast Salish territories and resides in Tacoma, Washington. Her paintings, jewellery, and public murals draw on her lived experience to highlight the complexity of Indigenous identities and uplift shared community values.
