Ceporah Mearns is from Pangnirtung, Nunavut, but calls Iqaluit, Nunavut home. She lives there with her husband and their children, Siasi and Siloah. Together, they enjoy cooking family dinners, visiting friends and family, going sliding, and spending time at their cabin. Jeremy Debicki is from Winnipeg, Manitoba, but calls Iqaluit, Nunavut, his home. Nuria Muro Gio is a Peruvian illustrator, born and raised in Lima.
Siasi is always reminded by her parents to help others. In Inuit traditional values, helping others keeps the community strong and healthy.
Whether it’s helping her father with the fishing nets, making sure her little sister stays safe on her bike, or just helping to keep the house clean and tidy, Siasi learns that helping others can be fun and also feels pretty good inside! Audience: Ages 3-5.
