The ONLC acknowledges that First Nation peoples of Canada have distinct histories as well as diverse cultural and social practices. In this resource, we hope to provide information and lesson plans for the adult literacy community as it strives to respect and honour the Elders of our communities and include Indigenous ways of knowing in passing on wisdom and experience.
