Turtle's Back Publishing is a division of the Ontario Native Literacy Coalition. Turtle's Back Publishing has Language Resources, Language Readers, Cultural Readers, and Curriculum Resources.
Indigenous literacy is a wholistic approach that emcompasses the teachings of oral, visual, experiential, and spiritual Indigenous knowledge. It is the learning process of decolonizing, re-learning, and re-building. Expanding beyond the mainstream understanding of ‘literacy’ to Indigenous ‘literacies’ of learning, by providing accessible culturally-relevant education, training, resources in all topic areas, for all levels of learning, in all mediums and genres.
