Introduction to Health Science curriculum, is for learners who are interested in working within the Health Sciences field, through an Indigenous lens. Each lesson includes keywords and a shared reading section to guide learners, coupled with task-based activities that will encourage learners to critically think and reflect. Learners will apply their knowledge and skills as they explore topics such as healthcare in Canada, Indigenous healthcare in Canada, the Health Science profession and careers, the importance of Indigenous healthcare professionals, and more. Lesson activities range from evaluating case studies, written responses, finding simple calculations, reflection, goal setting, and includes an independent research project on a Health Science career of choice, as well as an open-book final test.
